The Cisco C9200-48P-E Switch is a 48-port modular access switch designed for security, resiliency, and programmability. It runs the Network Essentials (“E”) license, providing the foundational Layer 3 routing and SD-Access capabilities needed for enterprise branch offices.

740W Default PoE Budget : Out of the box with a single 1000W power supply, it provides 740W of total PoE power. Adding a second power supply can increase this budget to 1440W.
Modular Uplinks : Unlike the “L” (Fixed) series, this model has a modular slot. You can customize your connection to the core with $1G$, $10G$, $25G$, or $40G$ network modules (C9200-NM).
StackWise-160 : Supports stacking up to 8 units to act as a single logical switch with a combined stacking bandwidth of 160 Gbps.
High Availability : Features field-replaceable units (FRU) including dual redundant power supplies and redundant fans, ensuring the network stays up even during a hardware failure.
Layer 3 Ready : Supports essential routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP (stub), ISIS, and RIP, making it more than just a simple “plug-and-play” switch.
